SRINAGAR — The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday morning raided multiple locations in Jammu and Kashmir in two different cases already registered by the probing agency.
Reliable sources said that NIA sleuths along with CRPF raided the house of one Nayeem Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Aaripora Zewan, who works as a driver in Hassan Road Construction Company owned by Ghulam Hassan.
The house of Mushtaq Ahmad Dar, a resident of Baghi Nand Singh Chattabal, who runs a poultry farm, was also searched by the sleuths of NIA five mobile phones besides other things were seized, they said.
They said that sleuths of the probing agency raided the house of Suhail Ahmad Bhat, son of Late Ghulam Mohammad Bhat, a resident of Solina Payeen in Shergari Police jurisdiction, and the house of Tahir Ahmad Najar, son of Mohammad Sultan Najar, a resident of Bahauddind Sahab in Nowhata.
Sources in South Kashmir also confirmed that a NIA team of five members headed by SP Naveen Kumar and DySP R K Pandey raided a residence in Mir Mohalla in Achabal.
In north Kashmir, a raid was conducted at Kreeri in Baramulla. Similar raids were reported from Jammu parts also.
Sources in NIA said that sixteen locations are being searched in Jammu and Kashmir in two different cases: ‘Voice of Hind’ magazine which aims to “incite and radicalize impressionable youth in India” and the recovery of an IED in Jammu’s Bathnadi area.
