KUPWARA — After witnessing a surge in COVID-19 cases, district administration has declared four villages of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district as ‘red zones’ on Sunday.
The district administration has also enforced a strict curfew not only in the main town but also restricted the movement of people living in the red zones.
The villages include Goos, Shaloora Teli Mohalla, Dardsun Kralpora and Bunpora Trehgam.
“There will be no inward or outward movement of any person from these villages and people have been asked to stay indoors,” an official said.
He said the administration will ensure screening of households in these red zones without any delay. (KNT)
