Srinagar: Day after releasing the list of its candidates for the phase-I of upcoming maiden District Development Council (DDC) polls, an important meeting of People’s Alliance for Gupkar Declaration (PAGD) leaders is scheduled to be held at the residence of PDP chief and PAGD vice-chairman Mehbooba Mufti on Friday at 10:30 AM.
Quoting unnamed sources, Kashmir News Observer (KNO) reported that all the PAGD leaders are expected to attend the meeting that will deliberate on some important issues including the DDC polls and names of candidates to be fielded for the second phase.
Pertinently, PAGD has already announced the list of candidates for the first phase of the polls.
The list was made public by the alliance spokesperson Sajad Lone on Twitter. However, the actual names of the candidates are yet to be known.
The PAGD, according to the list, has fielded 27 candidates from three parties — 21 from National Conference, 4 from Peoples Democratic Party and 2 from Peoples Conference.
