Two transformers stolen from Shopian mosque, locals suspect drug addicts

Shopian: Burglars entered into a mosque in Gagran area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district and stole two transformers.

Quoting a local, Kashmir News Trust (KNT) reported that the theft took place at Jamiat Ahle-hadith Masjid Gagran.

“A kerosene and another transformer attached with AC have been stolen,” he said, adding that a complaint has been lodged with the police.

The locals said they believe it is the handiwork of drug addicts. “It is not the question of money but speaks a lot about the degrading morality in society,” they said, appealing people to contact on 9797058741 if they have any information about it. KNT
