Jammu: Police today issued a statement regarding an incident involving a video of communally sensitive nature which has gone viral on social media. It said the video seems to have been “maliciously posted to create communal tension.”
Police said that, in this incident, cognizance has been taken and investigation into the matter has started in Police Station Pacca Danga, Jammu to ensure strict action.
It further requested people not to fall prey to the “agenda of anti-social elements,” adding that sharing/ posting of such content in punishable offence.
“We assure strict legal action against such accused who have created or shared such content,” the statement said. GNS
